For waywardmixes's fourth theme.

Sir Samuel Vimes, Commander of Ankh-Morpork City Watch, Duke of Ankh, Blackboard Monitor was chasing down the mass-murderer Carcer when the two of them get sent back in time and stranded. He takes on the mantel of his old mentor, John Keel, and tries to survive his best in the City's bad old days, stuck with his naive younger self, an incompetent Night Watch, and only an eccentric old monk to guide him.

Lord Winder is the megalomaniac in charge, while Captain Swing and his secret police of Cable Street Particulars keep the city in constant fear. But the tensions are getting high, on the old streets of Ankh Morpork, and there are only few days until the revolution of the 25th of May. Truth! Freedom! Justice! Reasonably priced love! And a hard-boiled egg.

It wouldn't be the one that changed everything, it wouldn't even change the city that much save for put another bastard on the throne. But it was remembered, and good while it lasted and for the few short hours it had lived, The People's Republic of Treacle Mine Road was glorious.

That night at the barricades, Vimes fights alongside (tries to save) all kinds of citizens; some were revolutionaries, some were naivetés, some were opportunists. And some were just doing their job.

Inception. Ariadne character study, gen.
Staring at the entrance to the mine, I prayed for your wounds to close. Ariadne is the heart of the team. Song by Laura Veirs.

note: this is a slightly cleaned up version from what played at the con. I've tightened up a few clips, but nothing that should detract from the main narrative. Embed and download under cut.

Summer love, philosophical discussions, tragedy & betrayal, confronting the past and a last stand; the story of Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald. Before they wrote history, they wrote their own story.

This mix looks at the relationship dynamics, the slash, the pre-slash and even has a bit of character perspective thrown in for good measure.

Big-ass spoilers for DH.

Most of you probably know of the soundtrack of your life meme that's been going round on blogs - you know, where you shuffle your songs and type a song for each question. This is basically a fanmix to that meme for Harry's life. There are probably a dozen versions of these, but they're all based on more or less the same themes.

Doesn't exactly spoil the 7th book, but there are certain hints at the ending. Enter at own risk!

Post-humous and in retrospect, but what the hell.

Featuring: Andrew Bird, Elliott Smith, Deathcab, Tori Amos and more!

The mix is split into two parts. Part one is "battle music", aka the stuff for the strikethrough survivors, the general spirit of the rebellions. It's for anyone and everyone at innocence_jihad. Arranged in order of pace, beat and lyrics.

Part two is the chronological order of how the shit when down.
